My girlfriend shooting her SIG 229

Shooting 5 rounds with a SIG 229. The barrel is the 106mm SIG factory barrel which we have in Canada (short barrel handguns are prohibited here). The gun is one of my favorites. It's a great shooter.

I love the double action on this gun, the single action is good too but I feel the double action is more accurate for me

That is interesting. It is usually the reverse for most people. I have found that, with a lot of practice, I can now shoot the DA on this gun about the same as the SA. The SA, on the other hand, I was putting together 2 inch groups on top of the x ring right from day one (these are great guns!). If you are a natural at shooting DA, you would have no problem qualifying on pistol as a cop. Many of them (like our RCMP here in Canada) have to practice hard to master a DAO S&W 5946 or similar.

No. It's a little tank. We actually have two of these now. The one in this video is the older one. The only thing we've done on them is replace the recoil spring after 5,000 rounds. Probably replace it again this fall. They are great guns. One of the best on the market.

What is it with this gun and girls? We recently purchased this gun for my wife and she loves it. She could have had anything she wanted and she shot a lot of guns and this was the one. I have to admit, it is a hellava gun.

The barrel does not have the threads. Threaded barrels are a tad longer.
