The second excerpt from Annayai Maravenadi varnam performed by 9 year old Vaishnavi during her Arangetram in 2005. Vaishnavi is the first Bharatanatyam dancer from the Northwest to do her arangetram

With love, my mother puts me to sleep .(1.20)

Like a little child, as my equal, my mother will play with me very many different games. (5.20)

My mother welcomes my father when he returns after a long day . (7.40)

Forgeting ( hiding) her own worries, with a pretty smile she entertains me.
She teaches me different things. She encourages me to strongly face any problems. Most importantly she teaches me to be cultured and loving to all.

My dear mother, I will never forget.
