wow i just now discovered the meaning of this logo...it symbolizes the two companies (Lorimar, and Telepictures) "crashing" together when they merged :D
Yeah, for Lorimar Television with the marble background, it kind of does give a somewhat uneasy feeling, by the way the jingle comes out. What could be even more scary is the warped/sped-up version that came out circa 1991 on a few shows until 1993.
as we all know this was LTs last season working together (pretty much what vzeu019j said lol) and after that they used the almost silent white marble background that gave u an uneasy feeling sometimes.
Only the first season of "Full House" had this logo, maseram1234. From there(1988 until 1993), it was produced by Lorimar Television, and then from 1993 to 1995(when the show went off the air), "Full House" was then produced by Warner Bros. Television.
"Family Matters" began in 1989(specifically September 22, 1989)on ABC, so they never had this logo, as Lorimar's name was then "Lorimar Television".
Lorimar-Telepictures was "separated" in 1988, as Lorimar was then "Lorimar Teleivison"(until September 1993), and Telepictures was then known as it's current name-Telepictures Productions.
Lorimar-Telepictures surprisingly owned an then-independent station in Puerto Rico between 1986 and 1988(WLII San Juan, Ponce, Puerto Rico). As a struggling TV station before 1981(due to the fact it went off the air, and went silent), Lorimar-Telepictures bought WLII in December of 1985(WLII is the current name since 1986), renaming it "TELE-ONCE", and the parent company surprisingly dubbed American sitcoms into spanish! The channel is now a Univision(spanish-languaged channel)affiliate....
Yes, the first season(and the FIRST SEASON, ONLY) of "Full House" had this logo, between the 1987-88 season. That was LT's last season working together as a company, as we know.
and it was also used on "Dallas's" spin-off show "Knot's Landing" as well, except in the case of that show, the L-T logo followed after the Roundelay-MF Productions logo.
If someone has the Love Connection end credits from the 87 season the has the Lorimar Telepictures extended theme fade to black please upload it on here that would be very good.
also from freddy's nightmares i remember seeing this logo too.
