Activist/nurse Sharon Black, who is with the Bail Out the People Movement, shared her views on the need for a Single Payer health care system. She said health care is a human right, and shouldnt be for profit and that the country is going through a desperate period. Ms. Black added: The money is there. The war budget is bloated. The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. Ms. Black was one of the protesters who were picketing the office of CareFirst BlueCross Blue Shield, an insurance giant, at a Hi-Rise in Baltimore, MD, on Oct. 29, 2009. • The Cuban healthcare system is CRAP! The only people who get good healthcare in Cuba are the political elite. They have special hospitals just for themselves. The average Cuban has to bring their own sheets, the plumbing is backed up, and there is feces on the floors and walls.

  • Yeah Like profit motive didn't create all those medicines that are now availiable and taken for granted > Yeah that stuff was just sitting around waiting for the right people to find it like oxygen and now the big bad industries are charging for it and taking away peoples right to it. And all those Doctors you have a right to should be coralled up and forced to treat you at a price you can afford cause after all it's your right to make them do so.

  • Of course health care is not a right. Ultimately this "right" would steal money out of the pockets of some to redistribute it to others. I do not have the right to have my neighbor pay for my goods and services, nor does anyone else.
