If the Labour Government after the war in 1945- 48 when we were bankrupt , could find the "will" to provide cradle to grave care for Britain's working population following workers paying their taxes and their National Insurance contributions into State coffers, why cannot this "cradle to grave" care be achieved in the world's fourth richest economy ?, ie Britain.

The answer is because the politicians dont want to, and why ?,

Because New Labour are continuing the Thatcher agenda and legacy in this country that began from1979 to 1997, where self interest counts more than Societies fundamental needs.

Since 1979, the elderly generations have been forgotten by the media, by the politicians, and by the British people.

To call this issue a national disgrace is an understatement.

And no, im not a pensioner, but ive been involved in the pensioners cause for 20 years, and I never thought things would last 20 years.

If this had happened in Europe, the people would not have put up with it for 5 minutes, but we British have put up with this for almost 30 years, like we put up with everything the politicians throw at us, because we are British.

Here are a few facts we never hear through the media.

The Government are spending 15 times more of tax payers money on means testing pensioners, than it would cost to increase the state pension to a decent amount.

This Government have a National Insurance "surplus" of £50 billion which they wont use to increase the State pension, they are using it for other things.
