The camera audio is tin-like. That mic might not be made to handle the frequency spread of the drum kit. You need to check the specs on it. However, you can try to EQ this to get the true dynamics of each drum piece. So, I'd record and EQ the camera audio using PRO tools or Cubase. I do mixing on Cubase 5 and then Mastering with Wavelab 7. It’s amazing what a little EQing can do to an audio recording.
