  • I have found psychedelics to be extremely positive. I don't agree with the 'controlled scientific environment is best' argument. A comfortable setting amongst good trusted friends is all that is necessary.

  • Do it and report back.

  • ...there are a lot of studies coming out recently about psychiatric drugs at the moment as less and less people are supporting the industry. These studies were funded by the industry and not published. They only published studies that made them look good. One study that came out recently, for example, shows prozac, one of the main drugs used, to be as effective as a placebo in relieving distress...and yeah, fair enough about the duelism/ dualism haha. My bad

  • I study psychology and the way it is is Ive described. Ofcourse there are some psychiatrists that dont support the medication models but most of them do. And, as they are medically trained first, they think this is a good way to treat so-called mental illnesses. Pharmacutical companies endorse a lot of research that goes on in psychology and psychiatry landing deals for their drugs. That is the way it is. Their aim is profit not good health care, and this needs to change.

  • very strage things would happen when since I was 11 or 12 years old questions like that had come and gone on my mind and since 14 I begin to experminet with drugs and I used salvia for training my self to cotntrol my emotions when I am on LSD emotions like anxiety fear etc so I never have a bad trip. SALVIA for training

  • Wow, that's a lot of assumptions you make there. First of all, a psychiatrist is medically trained, and is a psychologist on speed if you will. Second, psychology doesn't only entail the clinical side of things. There are - among many more - cognitive, social, clinical, ergonomic, neurological, cognitive-neurological, developmental and evolutionary psychologists. And there are just as many psychologists and psychiatrists fighting big pharma as those working for it.

  • Read some books by Susan Blackmore. She really knows how to shed light on the subject without going into overly woolly philosophybabble.

  • Duelism sounds like a way of life knights adhere to, dueling each other with the sword. Dualism however, relates to the 'hard problem', 'mind-body problem', positing that mind and body are separate. Oh wait, that's what manumoka hints at.

  • Contrary to the advise of so called 'experts', I would recommend using psychedelics (preferably psilocybin or lsd) alone, in a dark room, comfortably, with no sound or some music only on the way inside. It allows you to fully explore your thoughts without interference. It has helped me get around some major life issues. It has allowed me to open my mind and freed me from the overly production oriented society I live in and has helped open my mind beyond what my scientific studies show me.

  • Haha thats not duelism...duelism is a branch of metaphysics that says mind and body are two seperate things

  • you want reality to be settled by duels?
