This is certainly a beautiful example of the first year of the Sting Ray! The owner told me about the factory prep for air conditioning...and that it was deleted at the last moment. That is one of the many stories of the assembly line that could be told! The side pipes are a perfect accent for this car..although not available from the factory that year. It was interesting too that a soft top was never part of the equipment for this car...it came with the fiberglass hardtop

  • This car is as original as al yankovic Hoses are not correct, altenator is not correct, shifter is not correct, master cylinder is not correct,. Looking by the head cylinders its a 340 hp car, corrvette never prepped or intended on making air condition cars based on the 340 hp model, only the 250 and 300 hp motor were available with Air Conditioning. He actually has the correct wheels yet he things he does not think so...

278 factory air corvette were made , 50 convertibles( 22 known to exist)

  • @hook626 I have no idea about all the correct parts that are needed for authenticity on Corvettes. Thanks for your testimony! :) Jack

  • Not a fan of white cars but I'll make an exception on this one. Very nice!

  • @dad23boys Hey, Dennis! I think this car is exceptional too! Thanks! :) Jack

  • gorgeous exterior and interior design:)

But i would have wanted a red hardtop with a small black stripe on the hood.

  • @torjusb Hey, Torjus! Indeed..the nice thing about these cars is that there were so many choices...and this was an exciting new body style with new and radical for the time independent rear suspension. The chassis was truly of a sportscar..not the elderly passenger car. Thanks! :) Jack

  • @jayrod68 Hey, Jay! My guess would be 300 hp, but I'm not familiar with those figures. Really cool! Thanks! :) Jack

  • @drewerz01 Hey, Mike! I hope he does find this one...it's rare that I see Corvettes of this age in this tremendous condition! Thanks! :) Jack

  • @cheddyrod Hey, Chester! Indeed...they had some real class! The spinners were supposedly banned in the interest of safety...but I never heard of anyone getting maimed by them! Thanks! :) Jack

  • @jojocats2 Hey, John! I remember the shade of red that was used at the time..even on the Chevy II...and this is exactly right! I always thought it made for a great contrast with the exterior paint..particularly white! Thanks! :) Jack

  • @supersix54 Thanks! I agree! :) Jack
