So when people at rock concerts give that hand sign...are they reminding their heroes on stage to look ahead while sight reading? And how big are these girls jugs in the amazon? Are they amazonian? THEN you should buy the map. And if musicians do these clapping exercises, will they get the clap?

I am using these sight reading techniques to play music on accordion. The left hand is harder than piano. With various left hand chord combinations, it makes playing more difficult.

@hoppareiter i know how ya feel man. im in band and they give about a minute before they tell you to perform it in UIL. my band director says the best thing you can do in sight reading is look at the time signature and key signature. main things that will help. (im in middle school but i hoped i helped...)

sight reading is not easy for me. in the exam they just give you like 30 seconds to read and then you need to play :(

i didn't even manage to watch this video continuously but always paused or skipped back when there was something i didn't understand because i was distracted. damn... i guess that says a lot about my problems with sight-reading. anyway, i really enjoyed your lesson. I have that etude book at home and told myself: imagine it's a novel and you're reading it from the beginning till the end. a bit of it every day.
