@Sirscorps So who's in charge of uniform design-The Blind Society? The NFL has enough money to hire the best color co-ordinators in the world. Why don't they? When I was a ten year old kid, I didn't know much about football, but I was attracted to the Saints uniforms. They were snappy. Now my twelve year old gripes every time the Saints wear the all black garbage. It looks thuggish.

@revhowardgoss I also despise the monochrome (i.e. all-black, all-blue, all-green) uniforms.

@revhowardgoss I believe the GM is in charge of the uniforms. Check out the nfl uniform history site for some cool info.

@revhowardgoss I believe the GM has the final say. I know that ex-GB GM/ron Wolf thought about changing GB's uni's so they'd actually be "gold" instead of mustard yellow & I think the "G" logo on the helmet would've been changed to "GB", but in a different design. I would've puked if he would've done that! I was born & raised in Green Bay but have no idea why there is only a "G" & not a "GB" on the helmet though......odd.
Check out "nfl uniform history" website.

@63kraft When you're raking in multi-billions of dollars, there's PLENTY of money to do just about anything. God forbid their profits don't grow 17% each quarter; )
/poor.

@revhowardgoss The only color that looks good on pants & uni's @ the same time is "white." All purple, all red, all blue, etc......just looks f'ing ugly. The old Cardinals uni's look awesome (as well as the Saints)....unlike the Cardinals' current ones.
/Glad I don't have to deal w/that in G.B.....although it's not "gold", it's "mustard yellow."
/Packers & Cardinals fan.
I don't understand why the Saints can't get the color right in their throwback uniforms. The gold is never the right shade. The stripes on the pants are wrong. Who's in charge of that? Looks like the NFL would have enough money to get it right.

@revhowardgoss You are right, but I think the reason is money. Whatever style of throwback uniform they use is going to go on sale to the public and the fans. I think the NFL has test marketed different styles and determined that the authentic throwbacks are not as marketable as whatever they are actually using on throwback day. I think that has become the whole reason for throwback day. If you add another uniform, you potentially double your sales of licensed jerseys.

@63kraft Another thing I despise is the all black uniforms. It looks ghettoish.

@revhowardgoss I think that is also intentional. I don't like them either. Good uniforms require some contrast. When the Ravens wear the all purple, they look like big grapes.
