Orson Scott Card: a man with a clear vision. Undeterring, Unyielding, vigilant, he knows what he wants to see: an Ender's Game movie. But before the award-winning novelist's hallmark work can get to the big screen, he's making damn sure the look, feel, design, atmosphere—Ender's Game's entire visual spectrum—is perfect. How does he plan to do that? By bringing the beloved property to Marvel Comics.

  • I love this man, I love his books, and I love his mind. There are few people in this world (to me) that can write a book and make you fall in love with all his characters.

  • who cares if he is anti gay. his books are brilliant.

  • This guy is awesome.

  • Card is nothing more than a hateful bigot. I will never spend a dime on his books anymore.

  • You can be a writer, OR a fuckwit who believes he can we write SHAKESPEARE!?! into a Mormon gay-torturing fantasy where gay=paedo. How the bigoted can smile when they hold so much hate, I won't know or care.

  • @MasterGamer123sas Will Orson Scott Card's homophobic campaigning affect my life any? Yes it will because the insufferable bigot is going out into the world spreading hatred and intolerance. I wouldn't expect a child such as yourself to understand, these are issues for grown-ups. Go back to your computer games.

  • @jony7779 queer people and allies care, genius

  • OSC is a highly moral, intelligent, Christlike person, a fine representative of the Church of Jesus Christ. We are very fortunate to have him.

  • @Chorltonia i highly doubt that. compared to the most recent PR nightmares (tiger woods, mel gibson, OJ, etc) of our time, the studios have relatively little to worry about. the series is such an amazing, visual, and intellectual read that a well-done, rated R mind-flick would easily take the box offices for a good run. benefits outweigh any significant negatives in this scenario. simple as that.

  • His books are a little naive, but I appreciate them for stating that "some things just have to be done, no matter what the consequences". It is unfortunate he takes Christian dogma so serious! The irony is that he wrote in "Xenocide" : "Individuals can be trapped by a story". The Bible is a great story, but it can't be taken seriously in its integrity in the moral aspect, because it advocates Genocide!!!

  • @jony7779 thank you for having some sense. I loved all of the Ender's Game novels as they consisted of my childhood. when i read up on Card I was slightly dissapointed to learn of his views, but he doesn't shove those opinions down my throat when i read his books, so as far as i'm concerned he can believe what he wants.

    he's a brilliant writer regardless

  • I'm a christian and even I'm a little put off by Mr.Cards biggoted views.

if he's a true christian( ie. atleast believes in and values all people ), he knows he's wrong.

    if he's a true sci-fi writer(ie. a person open minded to entire universes) he'd knows he's wrong.

spirituality aside, chistianity atmost stands as philosophy of grace and humility.

Orson Scott Card is a great writer, but I strongly implore him to reconsider his views. *sigh* I apologize for becoming involved, but I just had to
