Build thread http://www.shoptalkforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=122882 VW bug with a turbo charged bone stock k20Z1 GT4088R. Tuned to 13psi, with conservative ignition timing. Made 370whp on 91 octane pump. Dyno'd in third gear which pulls to 123mph. Tuned by Derek @ PED in Stockton, CA. First k20 swapped bug.

you can put anything in a beetle. now put a 3/4 ton diesel motor in there!

if u use dom tubing the same stuff they use on roll cages thats pretty tuff stuff i should hold up its only a vw bug but other then that kick ass car and sounds good too

thats one sick bug man with a big turbo! yeah hahah isnt it alittle sketchy for those coolant lines to run under neither to the front like that? i would be scared to bottom out an rip them. thats a great car tho man. props

It is something that we have always been concerned with.....But, we have 3 cars all done like this and have never had any problems. It is definitely not for a really low car but for ours it works. The reason we tried rubber lines first was if we did metal and it did bottom out is would simply smash the pipe, but with rubber it could bounce back with minimal damage to hoses. There will be a 4th car in our collection real soon and will be done the same way.
