  • There are two systems. I think TEMS was experimental on the ST162 but offered on the ST182 as well as Active sports. TEMS has wires going to the shocks and Active sports has hydralic pipes as well as a pump (sits where the power steering pump sits) and a control unit (looks like an ABS unit) which sits next to the LHS front shock. The active sports also has extra pipes coming out of the bottom of the shocks and the dial says height - high - low wheras TEMS has soft-hard. You have a ST182 TEMS?

  • An auto found in Palmerston North (New Zealand) and an ex-JDM manual version has turned up in Johannesburg (South Africa). That's 3 sofar.... more?

  • How? what is Portau?

  • hey dude, i've got a 1989 st183 with the tems suspension. feels great when it's working.

  • Common on the ST18x?, saw a 20th anniv ST182 model today with TEMS and seude seats - they were all black. Saw an "Active sports" suspension on a ST183 - it's computer controlled and hydralic, not electric like TEMS

  • @MegaStig not sure what the difference is? Mine had some sort of hydro gas set up that was controlled by some computer, upon heavy acceleration it switched to hard setup for as long as you had abit on the gas it didn't switch back until you fulling let up, same on heavy braking. also had a little switch by the gear stick that put it from soft to normal all the time. or sports to normal as it said it even rev'd harder in the sports mode, must have been some fancy tech at the time.

  • This is a "sparkling" video. =p

  • This video went viral on Portau
