Jodi Eisner Method 2 the Madness Pittsburg Pennsylvania I am here to give my tips on helping children stay best organized. My first tip would be start with them very early on, as early as preschool, getting them used to going thru their bag when they come home. Looking at the things that they want to keep and teaching them how to let go of things. Have a look at pile, the look at and throw away pile, the keep pile and the toss pile. Allow children to be in control of that and also teaches them how to let go of things. Create a wall of fame, a wall in the house; an ever changing wall that is held by clothes pins and the children could decide what pictures they wanted to keep and as new ones came in to let go of other ones. As they get older take favourite pictures and frame them and turned them into a Gallery.

As they get older teach them to have their own home office system. The filing system is set up very similarly to a home office, with all of their subjects, things they need to keep for later dates. At the end of every school year, purge what is in those file folders and you are ready for the next school year. Parents can do the same for their kids papers that come home from school, for the kids school items.

Be consistent with your children, tell them what the expectations are, help them to follow through and make sure they are staying on track with everything. An organized student is usually the best student. www.method2themadness.com
