  • you should have used hypercam or camtasia to record this nt just ur camera

  • No i can use the built in WoW camera :) only on Macs :)

But i wanted to show you my "horsepower" problems :)

  • Change gfx settings and filtering and drawing distance. And play fullscreen. It is faster. And if Your mac gets too hot and cooler whines like a pig, the set /maxfps 50. With this settings I can play with macbook without ear plugs ;)

  • I had everything set to min. but the resolution at 1440x900. I also used to set the fan speed at max using smcFanControl and w/o any fps limiter I had 20 when I was lucky. Now the Mini crashes every 20 minutes of play so I use a 24" iMac :D

  • There must be something wrong with the heat dissipation from the CPU or GPU. Using SMC is ok with normal desktop usage, but pls, disable it when gaming or set fan speed to max. Check the ventilation and clean them up.

I can play WoW hours with my Macbook without crashes. And even kids Macmini (2.0Ghz/2GB) stays quite quiet and cool when they play WoW.

Check WoW crach etc logs. They can help You with problem solving. And check Your Macmini's crach logs too.

  • The Mini's log say "emergency shutdown". Now I use the Mini only for encoding videos for the iphone and web-surfing when my father need the iMac.

With the iMac I can set everything to max and have at least 40 fps :D

  • Yeah I thought about that. But why did I get voted down just for pointing out that EVEN if you have hiccups as large as those the sound won't skip on a Windows computer. Maybe it has something to do with the architecture... But I played it on a 800 mhz PC! I'd know, lol.

  • @sinni800 The thing is, Mac mini isn't used to game on it. It is a little box that you can use to make texts, work on it and stuff.... but gaming isn't a good thing for it. It plays well on an old Imac or an Old Macbook (well depends how old)

  • thats why I got a PC, my mac just couldn't handle it

  • On Windows WoW never skips sound even if your pc is slow.

  • no wonder its the cheapest freaking mac you can get you fucking retard!

  • it do lag a bit but it can be the internet.

  • WOW stink. but the mac mini runs it predy good.

  • Then you have not played on my computer.
