It's good to see Max is doing so well after his surgery. What a sweet & happy dog. I hope this leg amputation stops the cancer in it's tracks. He deserves to have a long & happy life.

was his leg amputated due to osteo sarcoma? as my golden is having that done next week. if so what are the odds that youve been told?

@gundeb Most doctors will say "four to six months without chemo, one year with." However, the odds are a crapshoot; many dogs will outlive the prognosis (ours lived 2 years w/out chemo and osteosarcoma!), and many live shorter lives despite having chemo. The important thing is to go with your gut instinct about what's right for your dog. Come to our Tripawds online community to find support and more information. Hope to see you there!
