On September 22, 2008, MISSISSAUGAWATCH went to Brampton City Hall to videotape Brampton Day. There were plenty of dignitaries celebrating Brampton's SAFE CITY designation from the World Health Organization.

Speaking of "Health" MISSISSAUGAWATCH noticed two protestors handing out pamphlets. A closer look revealed two Brampton citizens informing their fellows about hospital issues in Brampton.

It didn't take long before they attracted the attention of Brampton City (aka Corporate) Security. A Primary Response security guard made them leave City Hall property and they reluctantly complied.

Get this. Fast-forward two months and at a City of Brampton Council meeting, the issue of protesting at Brampton City Hall surfaced.

It was at that meeting that Brampton City Manager, Deborah Dubenofsky made the following statement:

"The community, of course, is always free to express displeasure about government matters here at City Hall."

Apparently, the Brampton City Manager had failed to communicate that to her SECURITY GUARDS and was either unaware of what happened on Brampton Day with these two protestors, or---?

One day, MISSISSAUGAWATCH will report on Mississauga City Manager/City (Corporate) Security practices as well.

What City of Brampton has for security guards is still infinitely better than what the City of Mississauga has for security guards.

At least Brampton's guards are subject to Provincial standards and an independent public complaints procedure.

City of Mississauga --the Misstapo I call them (rhymes with Gestapo) investigate themselves exclusively.

Mot complainants get "your allegations were not substantiated". Freedom of Information confirms that means "not investigated".

Speaking for myself, not at all asshole. As for babezsheetz it might simply be a case of his/her working for another private security operation. Perhaps Intercon Security.

Freedom of Information shows that the City of Brampton hires security guards so stupid that when they tag someone and they only write two words, "Behaviour Disturbance" they spell BOTH words wrong.

Saw that on the tag of a black youth the moron guard banned for 365 days.

@SheDiJoe Ya know, somehow -sadly, the comment "Worst meaning the best at their job!!!" comes as absolutely no surprise. All "Worst meaning the best at their job" means is that SheDiJoe believes that Primary Response is the best at doing the WORST job.

And actually I agree with SheDiJoe, Primary Response can simply NOT be the Worst. For Worst, you only need to look to your municipal neighbour directly to the south.
