My great grandfather, Glenn Thomas Baker (Age 96) inspected B-24 bombers during World War II at a converted Ford Motor plant.

On Nov. 27, 2003, I interviewed my great grandfather for a class project in high school when I was 18 and he was 93.

I used a video camera as a voice recorder. Video by Nathan T. Baker

  • Listening to an old man is sometimes an interesting experience, it's like you have to listen to it, but it also is a want. It's a good thing you got this record, lots of stories like this and from the war have gone untold.

  • A voice that speaks for a nation that is slowly loosing their physical voice is something to be respected!

  • Thanks for posting this rare ensight into a period of history, wonderful. My Father's Uncle was on a B-24 crew flying out of Italy. Thanks to your Great Grandfather for keeping the level of the finished product up. I'm sure it saved crews.
