Chigger Lesson ~ 10/29/09

This lesson was a no stirrups lesson. :)

Please don't critique my riding. Not only was slightly off balance, I was also a bit freaked out to be riding Chigger. He's a sweetheart, but also a pain in the but when he jumps/canters. And I thought "stirrupless? no. I'mma die!" and when I got on him that didn't change. Especially when we got to cantering, I thought that I was going to fall off because he would buck and I would fly. That didn't happen though, and although I look really swingy with my upper body, I think I sat his canter pretty well for no stirrups. It doesn't help that he literally throws ALL his weight into your hands and you have to hold him up or he will trip. -.-

We only jumped a tiny crossrail, at a trot. :3 Chigger likes launching over jumps. xD

you looked better then you said you would! Just make sure you don't lock yourself up in the canter and let your body go with his motion, sometimes if a horses canter is SO rough and you try to hold still its harder to look good.. let yourself go with the motion and dont get stiff.
