@BoyCharioteer No theyre far from subtle i had a pair of mordaunt short 916i because i wanted go the subtle av amp onkyo tx sr577 aproach to listening to music with a jbl sub.
but there is no substitute for a intergrated amp with a graphic eq, and a weighty pair of pair speakers, You could argue quantity over quality, but as i said to beat the cerwins for music the cost in an AV set up would be far greater than the cost of good old fashion Big bass speakers. I may be wrong but im happy..xx

we have 2 sets of these in the front room we have the tall one and two mk2 on stand with a Cambridge audio amp azur sounds amazing specially with heavy base and vocal music even without a sub-woofer it sounds good but its better with the sub but nice pair of speakers otherwise
