such a base outlay of the game, but where people get confused at is "special hands" such as the 7 pairs, and "jade wealth" any my personal fave which ive only hit once is "nine gates" hand. which i took my buddies for 65,000 on that one hand lol. this is such a great game, and i quit playing poker once i started playing this for money....great game, but take care, one FULL game can cost you 10x more then you could lose in a few hours of poker.....

Since it looks like a community well, can I take any tile that's in the well, or only the tile that was last thrown into the well?

I have to say this is one of the best explanation of mahjong so far that i've seen. All the other are simply explanation about the game and not the set up before the game.
