  • I am an artisan employed by an extremely prestigious maker and retailer of upscale jewelry. Specifically I make gold, platinum and silver jewelry set with diamonds and other gems. I have been doing this for years. This person does NOT know what he is talking about. He has no business educating the public on this topic and it shows that you should beware of anything said by anyone from "expert village."

  • yeah watch out for them hot diamonds.

  • iWould have laughed if the scratch of gold turned black! (means his ring is fake)

  • "my diamonds are kinda small "

    HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

  • @olstar18 One other point slightly off topic but since he mentioned it, I don't know where this pawn shop is so perhaps things are different there but I have never seen a driver's license or other I.D. with a magnetic strip. We certainly do not have them here in Rhode Island and I have never seen one on a CT, MA or NH driver's license. So unless he does not take items from out of state he would still have to fill out paper work.

  • @olstar18 His comment about diamonds is beyond absurd. Besides the fact diamond testers measure heat conductivity not retained heat, diamonds do NOT retain heat from their formation as that is a physical impossiblity. Even if you were to measure retained heat you would use a pyrometer not a diamond tester.

  • @olstar18 Point well taken. Since I posted my comment nearly a year ago I had to watch this again to remember. While an acid test will work much of the time, some older jewelry that will test positive as gold is actually heavy plate. Next, this will damage antque jewelry and reduces the weight of the item.

  • @shatros I find it hard to believe someone who claims to be an expert on youtube and that someone else doesn't know what they are doing without telling what they did wrong. Perhaps you could elaborate.

  • What an idiot !!!Diamond retain their heat? ahahahah stupid idiot !!! the tester tests the level of thermal conductivity and diamonds have a very high level of thermal conductivity that other gems don't have. Don't be an expert on something you don't know nothing about....its just making you look like an idiot.

  • @gamerboy2112 $10

  • What country is the "expert village" in ? Stupidia?

  • his diamonds are kinda of small. so is his net worth
