can a bike with tracks flow more than skandic wt? how much better off are you with a wt slet?
-
@rockmanatv Hi. Actually it's much closer to 50% loss with belt cvt based machines including utvs. Honda atvs have a much better result with tracks due to the manual or hydrostatic transmissions. Some utv like machines like the Minitrucks such as the Suzuki carry have little to no power or speed loss with tracks.

@kizig18 QUOTE: "4th tire didn't lock in". How could that be when these are TRACKS, not tires?
If the rider uses the WRONG TECHNIQUE on ANY machine, Yamaha or not, the machine won't go where it should. Only a DUMBASS would think otherwise.
Oh, and the Grizzly has a manual locking front differential. It should be OBVIOUS to a KNOW-IT-ALL DUMBASS like you that the rider simply failed to lock the differential.
Think before you speak. MAYBE, just MAYBE next time you won't say something so STUPID.

they look slow

@nothineself
Loose about 30% of road speed. So if you quad does 60 mph figure on about 40 mph as a top speed.

Can-Am 650 is more powerfull and made in America. Buy Can-Am
oross99 4 years ago
Actually the Can-Am's are built in Canada. Grizzlies are built by Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Corporation of America... ...in Georgia.

Military just tested mattracks (same concept/design), tore the front end off in two days. Heard some horror stories regarding this track design (front end issues coupled with gross power loss pulling full delta shape). Are there other track systems available?
cartwrir 4 years ago
I dont care for the mattracks, they have proven to be unreliable, heavy, and expensive to repair. Check out atvtracks net for a bunch of other tracks.
