Cisco HealthPresence extends and expands access to health services and quality care. Using the network as a platform for telemedicine, it creates an environment similar to what patients experience when they visit their medical provider. For more visit http://www.cisco.com/go/healthpresence

  • @olivkolivke Thank you for the note; however, this program offers a new level of convenience and a chance to reach those in which healthcare may not be readily available. Thanks! ~Gina

  • Doctors are going to be fat if they stay sitting all day in front of computer.. :p

  • Watch this one which explains the system and setup better. Search YouTueb for "InformationWeek News Report on Cisco HealthPresence" or video id v=204eUa1aGcI

  • As I understand it, this system was initially designed only for Cisco employees. With thousands of staff in multiple buildings and locations, they decided to bring healthcare/wellness centers into their buildings. Staffing that with full time doctors in every building is much more difficult than a few doctors somewhere in the country virtually checking employees out. So if a Cisco employee has the sniffles, they can walk into the health center in their building and be checked out by a nurse/DR.

  • @stikitape214 He was a real life doctor...

  • @stikitape214 yeah they just picked that example to demonstrate the technology. in reality it would be used for very complicated cases that would be too complicated to go through in a short 5 minute video like this.

  • @mrjayDK1234

ok i get what you mean

but ear infection ?? bad example lol

  • @stikitape214 because certain diseases need to be treated by doctors who are experienced in that area of medicine, and not every place has those doctors, especially with very rare diseases. this lets a doctor treat a patient from hundreds of miles away, where otherwise the patient would have to travel to get that specific care that is not available locally.

  • @Metallicafan6611 this system is for letting doctors treat patients hundreds of miles away for certain diseases where there are no experts in the area. or to treat patients in rural areas where there are not enough doctors. obviously if he could see the patient in person, he would.

  • whats the point of this

why couldn't she just go to a real life doctor O_o
