  • DELIVERIN!!! Thanks so much for this terrific post. Poco was a great live band.

  • yes and losing messina hurt on the guitars later

  • @bendbadgersteve they're great but Red Rhodes was"de man"!

  • "I once had the opportunity to meet and sort of get to know the pedal steel player from The New Riders...etc"

Buddy Cage. Damned good in his own right as was Sneaky Pete Drake and Sneaky Pete Klienow but, you and Buddy are right, Rusty beez de man!

  • Poco really had a unique sound. To me, they were the very best of country/rock fusion. Their harmonies and melodic riffs were top notch. Like this song a lot-has a high-energy feel.

  • This is the version fom "Deliverin'" with Messina, recorded in Boston, and I agree, this is something else. I once had the opportunity to meet and sort of get to know the pedal steel player from The New Riders...etc" I asked him who the king was, and he said, "are you kidding? Rusty Young!"

  • This is my favorite version of C'mon. Most other versions were a slower tempo and didn;t drive as hard as this version. Listen to Rusty, this is one of his best solos IMHO. Good stuff...
