Gas Prices Soar Once Again

For the first time in over two years, the average cost of a gallon of gas is $3. The price of gas rose 21 cents a gallon just this month. One Industry veteran predics $5 a gallon by 2010, reports Anthony Mason.

People with a minimum salary cannoy afford to have a car!! Not even a very compact used mini car. Impossible with these gasoline prices .... $5.00 per gallon.

@GhostThriller While in the EU petrol is at an average of 8 to 9 USD. For our smaller cars costing up the "ASS!!!", as the old statement goes, you get what you pay for and I am sorry but Americans can't build good cars if their lives depended on it. With regards to your grammatically ill-structured reply, in the US the average sales tax is between 6 and 7% while in the EU it is between 19 and 25%. The average tax wedge of the US is 30% while in the EU it is an average of 50%. Average US income is 52,029 USD while in the EU is it 50,600. Petrol in the US is an average of 3 to 3.50 USD
