(22000 Class DMU) This is the 12:40 train from Dublin Heuston to Westport (Saturday 27/09/08). This video is of the train crossing the unattended crossing at Cloondroon/Ballynew (Claremorris). Please note: I did not arrive in time to close the crossing gates successfully and the gates were tied to posts with string which was impossible to remove in the time I had. More videos to follow.

  • get rid of these stupid light weight railcars and get the heavy locos and mark 3s back NOW

  • Totally

  • Lol...

Off topic but that reminds me how unsafe Electric Cars are becoming.. they may be green but becasue there so quite, the number of people being hit by them has risen quite abit ! ....

Im mixed... i really do like those 22000's but ill certainly miss the beast that was the 071 class & Mk3's....

  • Too quiet if you ask me. Higher risk of people getting struck by these new trains because you can't hear them approaching

  • Disagree. Noisy trains are great.much more exciting because you can hear them from a good distance away.
