NO it is because they are not being drafted against their will to die in a jungle by people who have not attacked the USA. When the government comes and picks you up from your house to go die you just might protest the war as well. It is easy to do nothing and just talk when you have nothing to lose.

First you need to review which was communist, north or south. And If your country is NOT doing the right thing it is your duty to try and change the policy. NO Americans do NOT blindly follow any leader into any invasion of another soverign Country. That is what NAZIS do but NOT Americans.
