I don't think (not for ONE MINUTE) that "Mother Nature" had NOT developed all HER checks and balances in reference to the ecosystem in regards to the wild horses...Everything concerning nature is exactly as it is supposed to be. There is a natural food chain in play and regardless if there are only 2 or 2000 mountain lions left this is the way it is supposed to be. It is ONLY when MAN gets involved and starts to manipulate the ecosystem does it end up harming the way Nature has intended.
