Nearly ten years ago I, Ben Benumof, suffered a painful neck strain at the end of a 3-hour surfing session in the icy cold waters of Santa Cruz. My problem grew worse as simple things like sleeping the wrong way or wrestling with my kids led to re-injury. Chiropractic care, physical therapy, over-the-counter medication... nothing delivered long-term relief.

I had to do something about it.
Something Revolutionary

In 2007, the idea for the neckrx® flex® came to me in a true "a-ha!" moment while swimming laps: "a simple ergonomic device that would allow someone to target and regulate the force needed to stretch and strengthen their neck muscles!" I was so excited I raced over to Dr. Kevin Kroes' office, my chiropractor and friend, and he seized on the potential.

Pen hit paper, ideas churned, and we began designing our prototype.
