Cedar (Beta) — Review and First Impressions

Update!

After I reviewed Cedar, Kraniem Software contacted me to correct some things. Here they are, quoted:

-"The problems you had with the XBrowze browser were caused by your internet connection. You could not view the properties page as the web page had not finished loading."

-"We would also like to point out that the "netdiag" window is also accessible by double clicking the two computers icon in the bottom right of the main window."


Another update:
I'm now CMO at Kraniem Software! That means I get to share the product. I'll be sure to do another review when the final product arrives.

Apparently, this is trying to compete with GNOME. If this is a beta then the version shouldn't be 1.02. I can tell it is made with Visual Basic and they've done a pretty good job with it considering the language. They should try to make the desktop an MDI Container to keep each window in the application and not a separate window. The Navigation Cancel error is not part of the internet connection, it's something weird with the .NET Framework which vb is based on.

Yep, as my friend nas said, this is some shitty rip off of gnome.org (gnome 2 not gnome 3).. Copying Linux eh?

The bad part is it is in VB. Vb barely qualifies as programming at all.

Do they at least have functional workspaces, that can be the only thing that is a remote achievement.

@TheComputerGuy96 thing is, they claim it to be a new GUI when it looks uncanningly familiar to the Windows GUI itself. I suppose its good enough though if this is a "one-man-made software"
