its a 8 because the evo 9's spark plug cover doesnt say mitsubishi on it. they came out with new tops for em too.

Also, the IX has a gunmetal steering where as the VIII has a silver wheel, like this one.

@asc13nt1st yea man the valve cover on the nine only has the triforce shit on the plug cover and it say mivec on it too. no one down grades their mivec engine to and evo 8 version lol

sounds exactly like a mazdaspeed6 from inside

just wondering. would this work on a dsm by any chance? i have never heard of any dsm with one. only crushed 1g(thats what i run recirculated of course),ssqv, and tial's. do they make this setup for a dsm?
-
CHSSSSS!!! haha i want it on my car :'D haha
-
it means it vents back to the pipe between the turbo and filter. stock turbo cars have the same setup but as pac0tac0 said u can only hear it coz he has a pod filter
-
what does it mean by recirculate
-
the reason you can hear it recirculating is because you have an open filter

whats the story on leak. Someone said tested up to 100psi?? bovs do have a function for anyone who doesn't know..
mreardon89 3 years ago
Yes, we pressure test each assembly not to leak 100 psi of boost.

even if its recirculating wouldnt you just be able to hear it because of the open element filter. what does it have to do with the valve itself?
EVOLEDO 4 years ago
Exactly! It is very audible with an open element filter. So, there's no need to vent to atmosphere. The valve operates differently from most any other on the market. It stays open at any high vacuum, so you can't just vent it to atmosphere.
