Damn! i took a wedding using D60, I use D60 on my studio, and I use 105mm Macro f2.5 old lense for beautiful portrait.... and the best part is I EARN MONEY FROM D60....

Well, comparing these two cameras, then no, the difference isnt really stunning. But compare a D60 or EOS 450D with a EOS 1D Mk2 and youll notice quite some difference. Of course its alot about the photographer, but cheaper cameras only get you so far, at one point you need a new camera.

from RAW sensor-based data released by DxOMark in their website, it looks d60 outperforms d80 slightly. as for features (convenience) d80 is way better than d60. but in the end, it is the photographer who makes a photograph speaks no matter what brand or model you use. the camera is a only tool to make your work easier.

The better photos is taken by a good photographers not by the camera!!! Both are good if you love the art of photographics

wow, he makes it sound like the d60 is a piece of crap compared to the d80, which it is certainly not! Just because the d60 doesn't have what he calls a "proper" shutter doesnt mean it takes lesser quality pictures. Both cams have the exactly same image sensor so your not getting any better pictures and the d80 doesnt have an active dust reduction system like the d60. You might get a little more from the d80 like the top lcd screen but overall, there isnt a world of difference between the two.
