Jager1000 is right. All it takes is speed. The hardest part about doing this break is getting over the fear of accidentally cutting yourself.

KI, SIMPLY PUT ENERGY, can be whatever you percieve it to be, who, what, where, when, why, and how you draw you energy/ki/strength is all up to our person. Call it kinetics, stored energy, our spirit, whatever you will it is energy, that is ki. A kiai, broken down is a projection of energy, it is in all of us, thus ki is within us, when we project it, it becomes something all to beautiful for words, you're right, interesting conversation, when speaking with sense, as we are. It takes way way way more than just a "tap" on the top. Trust me I have tried it. Call it Ki or Physics, it takes some serious balls to hit on a bottle like that.

no this is simple physics get a empty V bottle fill to 90% full screw lid on then just tap the top the bottom will bust out due to compression, there are better displays of the power of chi but only on the body

Interesting conversation. Sounds like the real question is what is Ki. I have heard about it but there is no real difinitive place to go to learn about it.
I will say that doing a breaking like this takes a special somthing for sure. It would take some serious interal strength, courage, Ki, what have you, to get this done.

Ki has many definitions based on upon many peoples experiences and resources. However... it isn't just strength or mental power alone for it to break, but some kind of harmony between that and other variables.
Basically... doing this requires effort... effort requires energy... and in an overall sense... energy is described as "Ki." Better kept simple than complex.

I could do that to, all I need isvpractice and technique. If you hit a bottle from the top in the hole there will be something called an airpreasure that quakes the bottle and break in. If i focus it isn't ki it is mental strength combined with physical power!!! So Don't go Blah Blah This Is KI!

I am glad you have the confidence that you can do this. Good for you!
However, so what do you define as ki? To me, it s mental strength combined with physical power....you don't necessarily have to chant in order to develop your ki - focus is just fine....
I enjoy your comments though.... :)

It's not ki, it is a punch
someone0d 3 years ago
Ah, but what powers the punch? By the way if you look closely you will find it is not a punch......
