A ramble on the idea of doing more to curb or even end religion. The name I forgot of one of the Four Horsemen was Daniel Dennett. Here is a great video with all four of them and they do go over their feelings about ending religion.

  • I know this is an old vid, but I just wanted to say that you come off as a very nice and pleasant person. Unlike the stereotypical atheists on here...

  • @TheOther42086 Well, thank u! :)

  • "religion is an addiction". Yep, it certainly can be and that greatly clouds facts for such people and is another reason that they are able to so easily pick and choose what bits of their religion they believe and ignore the rest. Sadly, as odd as it seems atheism for some can be an addiction too.

  • @kalsolarUK Yeah, I've noticed that some Atheists can actually become very dogmatic about their views. It's very strange. Thanx 4 commenting... ;)

  • My country, Sweden has extremely strict gunlaws. Nobody owns firearm. Trust me, we're doing fine over here. Our politicians may be morons and hypocrites like everywhere else, but they're not dictators who's gonna oppress us and steal our shit.

I think it's time to put aside that old "settler" mentality. Life may not be as romantic, but your crime rate will go down for sure.

And we are already being controlled through capitalism. They don't need to hold a gun to our heads in order to own us.

  • @kawaiikuku I'm glad u agree. But ya know if u look at many of the countries that have or are going thru revolutions right now or trying 2 overthrow corrupt governments like Egypt, Lybia, u see that they all needed AND USED weapons. Here, we'd have NO shortage of weapons and, I think, our government is well aware of this. Wasn't it Truman who said, "The people shouldn't be afraid of their government, the government should be afraid of it's people."? Thanx 4 watching! ;)

  • @kawaiikuku Whoops, typo. What I meant to say in that first bit up there was, "I think if the government wanted to do something, the fact that we have arms will not stop them."

  • Hm. I think if the government wanted to do something, the fact that we have arms will stop them. They've got bigger arms, and people trained in ways that the regular populace are not trained. But, I still agree with the right to bear arms. I think we need better gun policies and laws, but I would never advocate removing the right to bear arms. I don't think that makes me anything like a Republican, though.

  • @1105Chance That's ok.

  • @julzabro I humbly apologize if I was rude to you. Sometimes I get a bit drawn into a lot of hate mail I get on Youtube. I am new to Youtube and I have had some days when I got too pulled into it that I've gotten negative, and yes...I occasionally misread someone's post, although that's not the norm.
