  • I picked up a 99 P71 with 168k miles. She stills purrs with all original equipment. And because she is a 99, she has got Posi and 3.55 gears! She may not have the 250 horses that an 07 does, but her 215 can keep up for a while with that rear-end!

  • would you not expect that or something?

  • @meestabeck

So all 99+ have the posi rear end?

  • That thing is CLEAN!

  • Did you install the 04 P71 airbox and MAF?

  • or its not a real "p71" ..i know i was wrong i bet in the 2 month's that have past since i have left this "wrong" post i have learned most can wish for,,,,

  • The police PCMs have the rev limit raised slightly because they come with a higher stall torque converter (11.25). Whereas the stock ones come with a 12 inch torque converter. The 12 inch is limited to 5400 rpm by the factory since that is their safe limit. The police PCMs also have very slightly raised shift pressures for firmer shifts and different shift points along with a higher speed limiter besides different rear gears. other then that the cars are the same ,,p71 has to be in the vin

  • @CREAMFILLEDANISH85 You fail. The 8th digit is not your indicator. No the P71 does not put out 260 stock. The P71 has a higher idle, more agressive shifts, dual exhaust, and lower rear end. That's it. No more. No less. Unless you consider a few extra fluid coolers a performance mod.

  • That engine bay is clean for that year of a 2001 CVPI great job
