Bob Elkins died last winter just before Easter. They had a funeral in Jolo.

For all the folks who say they are tempting the Lord, what are they tempting the Lord to do? If you say you're not supposed to test God. Than you don't know your scripture. Through out scripture, God consistently asks His people to test him. Malachi says to test God with tithing. If you going to knock the snake handlers, use a different argument. That one doesn't hold up to scripture.

PUMPKIN BROWN AND HIS WIFE GOT BIT TO VENOMOUS DEATH AT SERVICES THAT HANDLE SNAKES, AND LEFT THEIR CHILDREN BEHIND FOR THEIR GRANDPARENTS TO HAVE TO RAISE ON SOCIAL SEC. MONEY, (STATE MONEY). NOW THESE CHILDREN WILL HAVE TO GROW UP WITHOUT THEIR BIOLOGICAL PARENTS. THOSE WHO LIVE THROUGH THE BITES LIVE WITH IMPAIRMENTS AND DEFORMITIES THAT CAN KEEP THEM FROM EVER HAVING CERTAIN TRADES AND SKILLS TO SUPPORT THEIR FAMILES WITH. HOW DOES THIS BRING GLORY TO GOD? THIS IS SO SAD.

Just because I don't understand these folks, I am a Christian, I am also pentecostal holiness, I have been filled with the Holy Ghost and have the gifts of tongues and interpretation but I do not handle snakes. But I don't knock these folks! First of all they are fellow Christians,secondly from their accent sounds like they are also fellow southerners. I commend these folks on what they are doing,and any attempt to make them stop would be futile and unAmerican!
