We can't judge Jerry falwell's views as a serious condemnation of gays and lesbians as totally wrong. He was either insane, or most likely, he was an attention whore. Gays kept him relevent in the media, especially in his comments after 9/11.

His passing is unfortunate for his friends and family, but I cannot say his voice in American politics will be missed in any way.
