really, i find that hard to believe... my 2003 F-150 is only suppose to tow 8,600 lbs, I towed my 2004,31ft Prowler camper(empty weight is 7,500)from ohio to keywest Fl. now it had my family of 4, two germanshepards(around 80-85lb each) propane,food,gas,water(in the camper),etc the total weight of the truck, trailer,&everything combined was 29,500 lbs. towed that 2600 miles. ford trucks haul anything you throw at them

For comparison, the F150 can basically carry an '03 Mitsubishi Galant or Eclipse in the back end. Truly impressive, I donno why they call them mere half tons. Then again, a 20 year old F150 base model could carry over 1750...you couldn't pile enough crap in one of those to overtax it....

These guys are ford guys. They'll do anything to make the others looks shitty. I'm sure ford, chevy, dodge could all tow over 11,000 lbs all by themselves. Fords would be my second choice. I would go with a chevy any day.

i gotta 97 ford and the most i had it pulling was about 10,500 of bricks... and damn.. it did really really good! thats y i keep buying ford trucks there the best!
