Love the Way You Lie (Metalcore Cover)

This is a cover I put together in a day with the guys of From Here To Home. Sorry there's no visuals.

So we don't have a good setup but this is the best I could do. I programmed the drums and the mic we used for the guitar won't pick up bass tones so...yeah. Oh well. Please tell me what I can do to improve my mixing!

Not metalcore at all!

The Vocals isn't metalcore, not the guitar either.

The drummer did a good job though.

And the metalcore part really started at ~1:00

but only for the guitar, the vocals ain't metalcore man :)

Take a closer look at other covers.

For example "Carol of the bells Cover by August burns red". The instruments there is pure metalcore, then add some August burns red screams or Parkway drive screams and your fine.

But it was nice, keep it up.

honestly i don't care what kind of music this is classified as and it bothers me when people get so pissed off when you call it by the wrong name(who cares) but i really like this cover and i hope you decide to make more like this.

@Cambridime I suggest for the part where you're rapping to use fry screams, you could do highs and do it easily without being out of breath. And you got some great lows, so if you like the way Mike from TDWP's sounds (best example I could think of haha) you could use fry screams for highs and false for your lows, I do fry for both high and low but I really want to get some lows like yours haha.

Anyhow goodluck with everything and it was pretty good :)

As far as improvements, the mixing was done decently well, I think the lack of guitar bass tones is probably the only problem in the overall sound, and you covered that in the info, so it's all good.

Just a personal preference, I think it would sound a bit better if you screamed for more of the verses and sang the chorus. It's a bit more generic, I know, but I think it may come out better.

I would suggest like metal cover or Punkrock cover or something like that, even if it isn't in that genre, people call it so.
