Now is the Month of Maying

This madrigal, by the Tudor composer Thomas Morley, was originally written for five voices but is presented here as a solo because I couldn't find four other drama queens to don the tights and sing with me. I am not the only D.Q. in my family. Might I add that this is the first time I have dressed this way in the privacy of my bedroom. I normally stick to the chic little cocktail frock. Hey! I usually get paid for this sort of thing!

Those are my 'Sunday Best' clothes and the weapon isn't an 'axe', its a Bazooka. Sorry Bouzouki. Couldn't afford a Lute.

Hmmm...perhaps you may consider investing in a cittern, if you can find one. They are not that difficult to play (unlike the ren. lute, which is insanely difficult to pick up) and will give you a more period sound.
