Shenmue, was way ahead of its time, and it borrows from ancient Chinese mythology; Ryo Hazuki is not merely supposed to be such a strong martial artist he beats Lan Di, his ultimate fate is to become so strong in martial arts, he is able to take on, and beat, the ancient Chinese demon Chi You. I have posted this before in other Shenmue vids, by east asian martial arts reckoning, Ryo Hazuki is a "tiger cub." Even a tiger cub is strong, but obviously not as strong as a fully grown one.

SEGA would have two options;
The story divided across discs containing two discs with 7 chapters each, and the final disc containing 8 chapters, with the highest graphics quality possible, or, the entire story with mediocre graphics.
I think most players will chose to wait, and prefer the "jaw dropping" experience.

The PS3's 50 gig blu ray now makes it possible to have all 15 chapters in a single disc. If players want a truly jaw droppingly powerful graphical experience, it could be divided across THREE discs, each pushing the PS3's limits.

Agreed, Shenmue is one of the greatest games of all time.
