Tiny Yong is neither French nor Cambodian, but actually Vietnamese, born to Vietnamese parents in Cambodia, raised mostly in Vietnam, then moved to Paris at age 15 "Tiny Yong" is an anglicized version of her real Vietnamese name, Thien Huong. Despite her success in France, she didn't lose touch of her roots as she returned to Vietnam appearing on TV singing in Vietnamese under the name, Thien Huong. However, her career there did not see the longevity as it did in France.
