Alternate Focus - Broadcasting The Other Side Of The Story
Alison Weir ( the founder of IF AMERICANS KNEW ), the editor of a small-town newspaper in California, knew very little about the Israeli-Palestinian ... all conflict, other than what she had gleaned from the evening news or newspaper headlines. As a journalist, her attention was on issues much closer to home. Neither a muslim nor a jew, she nevertheless became more curious about the topic of the Palestinian uprising. And as she researched it, she became increasingly suspicious that the American media were not telling us the whole story. Months later, she traveled to the occupied territories as an independent journalist to find out for herself what the U.S. media seemed to be omitting. Three months after returning from Palestine, Alison Weir quit her job and founded If Americans Knew, an organization dedicated to quantifying the ways in which the American media was misinforming the public about the conflict. Ms. Weir explains her group's methodology, analyzes the data, and reports on the key findings. Producers: Paul Chek and John Odam (2006)

@senyah5 Again, you're not showing anything new. The UN is comprised of Arabs & states that love Arabs (b/c of the oil). Where are the resolutions against the PA/Hamas who deliberately kill innocent people? You can't find them...why? B/c the UN is a joke. Again, the UN with which you hold such high regard for states CLEARLY "withdrawal from State territories under occupation was conditional on a negotiated peace, rejected by the Arab states in accordance with the Khartoum Resolution".

@senyah5 First of all, the UN is comprised of 1/3 Arabs & another more than 1/3 states that do serious business with Arab states. The UN is a joke! Second, you speak of international law. The land is DISPUTED, not occupied (occupied = term coined by the Arab world). Even if you'd like to say "occupied", according to the UN, "withdrawal from State territories under occupation was conditional on a negotiated peace, rejected by the Arab states in accordance with the Khartoum Resolution".

The resolutions demand an immediate withdrawal from Palestine, Lebanon and Syria. You can view these resolutions on the UN website, just type in UN resolutions against Israel. @senyah5 I bet you know the situation from "NPR" too just like this woman. How about researching some facts? First of all, by 1945, Jews had legally bought $560 MILLION worth of land in Palestine. Second, the world has run on government always. The British had legal control and it was their LEGAL right to split they land how they saw fit. That is a fact. You are probably one of many people who use the UN to criticize Israel. If so, then you clearly follow by law...and the land was given by law.
