First Timer Stand-up Comedy Open Mic

This was my first attempt at stand-up comedy at The Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase. I was really nervous but kinda funny. Yeah, I know this sounds like Hedberg because there's a lot of one-liners... and unfortunately I was so nervous and kinda blacked out and I use some Mitch fillers and delivery. But I think I realized this part way through so I got pissed and started yelling. And I also made a bunch of people laugh which often doesn't happen at a first timer open mic so BOOM! When I make the time, I'll practice some more and develop my own style. Peace.

Some people are going to come across this whiny, sad sack, amateur routine and assume anyone can do standup, and you know that's not true. @fitzworld Sometimes I forget this video exists... and then you post another comment. You should act like an adult an avoid/ignore things that make you unhappy. I will not discourage anyone from trying standup comedy or anything new. This was my first time dude. When I'm interested again, I will practice and get better. I've continued to try several new things since comedy: I directed commercials and won thousands of dollars. I tried a raw diet, tried running, and ran a marathon. Boom!

@Jesusgerbil Let's see: I actually bought all the clothing articles above at the Salvation Army thrift store for under $10 total- except for the stone necklace, which my mom gave me. I don't know if this is your idea of an insult or a roast, but you're not very funny either and you're a jerk for commenting on my poverty, especially during holiday season. I don't know who Doctor Who is- no healthcare- and I've never been to Africa... but the Godfather is a good movie along with Home Alone.
