The reason why he uses MHS in the air is to keep the combo going longer for more damage. The way you combo in the air using LLMHS cuts into the hit stun so your combos might be longer but are not as damaging as combofiends. All he is doing is maximizing hit stun and combo damage.

It bugs me how combo uses M>H>S in the air with she-hulk. I use L>L>M>M>H>S and it works FINE.
