@mrdubcrazy If you have a team to organize and practice with, certainly! Also, imagine that the internet coach was Peyton Manning. This is the situation on Gracie University. You have the best "coaches" and they even tell you how to organize your "practices".

@mrdubcrazy Because these fights you are seeing are two fighters with experience in BJJ , they are trained...Fighting an untrained opponent (which is what your most likely to find in a street fight situation) IT IS EASY... Im only a 1 stripe white belt in BJJ and i realise that when womeone has merely two weeks of BJJ training they automatically set them self away from the average person, Whereas cocky untrained people i can usually submit in about 15 seconds.

@gkdrummerboy That depends. If it's Gracie University the answer is an unqualified, YES! If you haven't explored the site and how it works, you can't comprehend how effective it can be. The ability to review at any moment, the lesson you're working on at the time, combined with the ability to actually contact the Gracies over the internet and have specific questions answered (usually within 24 hours) is priceless. The real learning of course, is in the training. You still have to do that.

@mrdubcrazy Anybody who refers to this as "McDojo", which BTW, would be the right way to spell it. Hasn't examined it at any length or has no understanding of Gracie Jiu-jitsu ... or both.

Honestly, jiu jitsu is not really difficult imo I submit people pretty easily. If you have a decent sense of how the principles of locks work, its not really hard. Honestly, I feel my karate training for stand up to be way more difficult. Being autistic i have a high IQ taking basic anatomy and physics as a undergraduate will facilitate any persons combat learning. Good education==> Good analytical skills===> Quick learning by inference==> Good jiu jitsu ^^.
