Look too much like Miyazaki.

I prefer his style in 5 cm per second.

@shadowpal2 i would beg to differ although i can see a miyazaki influence in this film but for me the journey was not like a miyazaki one due to the fact i feel all miyazaki films end on a good note where as i felt this film like his others ended on a sour note she traveld all that way just to say goodbye

@Atamoss Cause he choose to make it as much like a Miyazaki movie as possible. The whole style is based on it with a mixture of 5cm per second

@Atamoss why can't this director try to do different themes though? It is not good to just stick to one theme forever. he is exploring.

これを含めて新海作品をいくつか見たけど、彼の作品は後ろを向い­たものが多いですね

これからこういった路線で行くんであればもっと前を向いた作品を­作ってほしいです。

Great movie! I can certainly feel the miyazaki influence here.

Apart from the art and themes, the story-telling and journey certainly felt like a Miyazaki one.

That's not a bad thing...but of course Makoto Shinkai's style from The Promised Place in Our Early Days and 5 Centimeters per Second is much adored and appreciated.

Can't wait for his next film. Oh wait...oh dear...I wonder how long that's gonna take hahaha. Well I'll be waiting either way.

@Atamoss Yep at 00:18 it's obviously Studio Ghibli character design style. Not that it's bad, I personally think the character design in 5cm was too bland and generic.

i already watch this movie.. it's quite good.. but i much more prefer the 5cm pero second..
