  • Helped by the judges?!? Have you watched this floor routine or her vault? They were absolute perfection! Not to mention Nadia often took steps or hops on her landings but Nellie's routines were perfect and well deserved tens.

  • first ever double back in history nelli kim

  • I cannot believe a roundoff, backhandspring, full twist was a tumbling pass in the Olympics at one point lmao.

  • I swear the spring floor has become more jumpy over the years. There's no way these athletes were barely making double backs in '76 and now they're doing double-doubles...

  • @zeldafreak701 Thanks for the info.

  • @HDNighster1 She got perfect 10's on beam and bars. Her two gold medal wins.

  • @zeldafreak701 Good thought. I think Nellie Kim won 2 perfect 10's in 2 different events. But Nadia received only one. Nadia received more publicity. I suspect due to Cold War era. Romania was not a Soviet State as oppose to Tajikistan was. Nellie is a Tajik-Korean.

  • Why are there so many people all about Nadia? There were other people competing at these games. Nadia didn't deserve to win every event. She was okay on floor and wasn't very good on vault. Her gold went to bars and beam and they were well deserved, but her floor routine wasn't as difficult as Nellie's.

  • @Gymya100

No, buttercup, not the first double back in history. First double back in the Olympic Games was performed by Olga Korbut just moments before Kim, and others had competed it prior to the Olympics. Comaneci did it at the '76 American Cup, for instance.

  • A little bit boring, don't you think...?

Ok, she had a double back, and so what!?

No, my gold goes to Nadia.

  • actually everybody is wrong.

the first double backs were done by men.

first double back by a woman in the Olympics was by Olga Korbut.

she performed it in the team optionals, and since she was placed before nelli in the line-up (the best on each apparatus goes last) olga actually did the first double back by a woman in the Olympics.

i have posted Olga's floor for those who do not believe me.
