Canesta showed off a demo at the International Consumer Electronics show in Hitachi's booth. Basically, the 3-D depth camera can detect your movements. Hitachi used this system to create a gesture-controlled TV. You don't need a remote control. See full story at VentureBeat http://tinyurl.com/74ednb

  • @pinoyboy579 waving your hand around isnt going to make you skiny.

  • looks tiring...

  • This looks interesting but you can tell it has a very long way to go. It will also need face/voice recognition along with some amazing software to back it up if it intends to compete with Project Natal. I hope it does as well so it keeps competition and innovation in this field very active.

  • @taoworm2323 Just to let you know. Remotes tend to get lost only ALWAYS and to prevent the world from being obese, Hitachi is making us become skinny again one circular hand motion at a time.

  • The future is coming faster than we expected, but I agree with you. The future is now and I'm proud of it!!!

  • I like Canesta alot and the celluon laser keyboard This is the future folks Invest in these 2 :)google these 2 words lol
